Hello world! You probably haven't heard from me in a while, mainly because I have been so busy procrastinating with things. On the brighter side however, I've learned to cook rice really well, and it doesn't go lumpy, soggy or sticky :D
Also I've finished with my Japanese course, which was, to put it simply, EFFing amazing.. and also very inspiring. I even bought a Japanese lunchbox thing and some chopsticks and now I'm gonna learn some Japanese; which reminds me, Emma make sure you don't forget to remind me to learn some swedish or I will forget :D
Ok, that has pretty much been my week so now I am gonna answer some questions and move onto our theme.. We are just trialing this..
I asked myself, what am I doing over the holidays? Nothing much, chill, celebrate Easter (It confuses me why our country, and america, have adopted thier countries religion's festivals as a national thing that everyone does, religious or not, but still, presents for christmas and chocolate for Easter, what's there not to like?) I also have tons of homework to do :-(
Do I eat anything special over Easter? I can't think of special food.. Chocolate.. and thats really it. Oh, this Easter I am eating lots of chinese/ oriental food that I'm learning to cook, because it is fairly healthy and tasty.. the only tasty & healthy thing I have ever come across. I think that answers what the questions asking, but I'm not sure.. Let me know :D
Wow.. Chris' question was very long.. but probably better than any questions I could come up with right now xD
I have never celebrated Easter in another country so I will answer the second part of the question: Is easter a big deal in my family? hmm.. Not massive but fairly normal.. we used to have massive Easter egg hunts and hide all the eggs, but this year.. none of us re that young any more xD.
When I get older, will I continue with family traditions? I don't know.. Maybe, depends..
My quesiton (S)
1) Do we think we should keep the themes? (I vote no, and btw, who is theming next week.. I presume it's Emma?)
2) I need your advice.. I wanted to move abroad when I am older, but I am now thinking of becoming a barrister, however, I know (or think) that there is no other legal system (The English one) I'd rather be one in, and if I decided on another one I would probably hae to learn another language.. I might be able to do it very well, but I have, when I try at least, a natural instict with the English language, that I have developed over my entire lifetime, that I don't think I would ever be able to develope in another language, at least not quick enough to go to uni in that country and get the qualifications to become a barrister there. So what should I do?
3) What job do you want to do when your older and why?
I know that's a lot of questioning. but sorry.. and I know it doesn;t really fit the theme either.. sorry..
Bye!

Grey with black stripes..
YAAAAY!! BECCA HAS RETURNED. I think it is becoming tradition for me to state the obvious. I'm not planning on stopping today. I'll begin with this week.. hmm let's think, I got a card from chris!! I made a video, and the audio completley messed up and I couldn't really reshoot it, the main reason being I was speaking quite quietly because I have been really tired lately.. I just hate school and I have been ill. Today at school I had an activity day, where we have to do all these fun activities, there was rocket making, cake maiking, remote controll car building water studies... that last one just kills it dead. That last one is a scratchy record sound on some violiny romantic music. It is a bird crap on a ferrari, a blotch of paint on a beatiful painting.. and guess what. I had it for TWO FRICKING HOURS. And the other one hour I was making a paper rocket, where it was stuck over a tube and you'd build up the psi, and then press a switch and POP pweeywooooommmm (CRASH!!). And, being the only one in the entire class who knows even a thing about aerodynamics and the only one who wasn't just rolling a bit of card into a cone, I won the competition for the distance it travelled! That was really the highlight of the day. Apart from right before the plane lesson, in fact I will do it in a third person view ( I think this is third person, I dunno?)
Sam knocked on the door and a furious yell came from the automatically open door and went 'GETTTT OVER THERE!!!!!!' the sound screahced whilst waving his hands as high in the air as possible, just now bringing his hands into eyelevel of Sam, thus alerting him of as to where the niose was coming from. Sam looked down and wiped the spinich of his knees. 'GEEEETTTTT TOO MY OFFICCE, NOI!!' puffed the creature, to which Sam replied 'please sir, don't beat me again!' but, fortunatley didn't say it out loud. Upon instructions to find this creatures office and not knowing where this might be, he wondered around the school, missing half of his rocket making lesson, and eventually encountered the creature again. 'WHEEH DID OY TEW YEW TO GA 'AH?' to which Sam replied 'your office?' to which the creature said, and I quote, 'blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah, blah..' eventually, Sam having learnt this creatures language just from the two minutes of listening to him, he understood 'SAA, TELL MOY, WOY YOO WOZ BANGIN ON THE DO-ER LOYK UN ANIMAL.' to which sam laughed. 'YOY ARE JOWST A SYOWPID LIH-AL BOY! GET OUTA MOY FOYCE. NOI!' the creature laughed.
For those of you who follow my tweets, will have already heard about this. well, obviously not all the little details. hmm, I guess I like to think of that version of perhaps a slightly.. urm. I dunno, maybe HD version.
Ok, perhaps a bit too long to be introducing this week, but anyway the snow thing. I feel like all my dignity is gone, I feel like I have been raped.. in the face! shit, I am hyper. I mean, damn I am hyper. Anyhow, the snow thing, there are two reasons I have for this. I hate snow. If you still think this is unjustified, read this link and then disagree with my rights to hate snow eternally: http://sam-gurney.blogspot.com/2009/01/why-white-christmas-is-shite-christmas.html. reason number two: England doesn't cope well with snow, if a drop of rain falls we can garantee buses will be late, which is inconvenient when you live in england.
(note to self: don't complain about English weather infront of canadians or swedish people. EVER! )
anyhow, England shrivels up and dies if there is snow. I could explain this, and having already written LOADS, and liking Emma's video idea, I'll add a video of the English Jeremy Clarkson explaining this English snowmophobia, where if there is snow the country grinds to a halt.
But youtube won't let me, because embedding isn't allowed, but I'll give you ANOTHER LINK! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qrz5ZFwuh28
QUESTIONS!!!
FAVROUTE FRUIT? Melon, no question about it. I loves me melons!!
PLANS FOR SUMMER? well, It will be an interesting one! First of all, I will be going on a bike treck with my friend george, across from one end of England to the other, for the gambia!!! It will be crazy, but we will be filming it so, you'll hear about that!! Then I will be going hopefully to france, in the hope by then I will be able to speak better french.
WHAT NAME WOULD I CHANGE MY NAME TO? There are many. Dan Druff, R. Slicker or Lynne c. doyle. I can never keep a poker face when eading them I have much worse ones where they came from.. call on me to make a joke of that.
I will be thinking of you all, Bye.
No wait.. my question.. hmm I think as last weeks challenge was a bit of fun. So, another much easier challenge, I want you to answer any question you want, but don't tell any of us what it is, so we have to guess from your answer, what question you are answering. But don't make it too obvious, like 'my name is sam' cos then you know what the question was. get it? And then after that, everyone has to guess what they think your question was. btw, sorry about how long this article is!!
my answer: I don't have one, they are a bit like a set of about ten. But they are grey with black stripes!

Because of you but hopefully never again.
I’m gonna apologize right now for this post. I don’t know how it will turn out but Sam wanted us to get as many song titles in it as we could so I’ll give it a try.
And as you can see I’m posting on a Monday again, that’s because I’ve switched days so from now on this will be my regular day. Almost the only thing worth mentioning that’s happened since last Wednesday is the party I was at on Saturday. It was a bit of a letdown but I made the best of the situation and then I went home and watched Mamma Mia for the third time in two weeks. Yesterday I slept in due to the partying the night before and the rest of my weekend was spent mainly relaxing. So what if I had things to do, that’s what you have the night for, right? Since I can’t sit all night long with this I’m gonna quit with the songs now because I can’t come up with anymore right now and I’ve done my best. Although there might be some random song titles in the rest of it.
After doing Sam’s challenge I only have one question to answer and that is Chris’s “What colors are your linens?” Well, my sheets are red and my cover has a pattern of red and white flowers all over it.
I just remember that I need to answer my own question from last Wednesday too about favorite movie. Well, it’s the same here as it is with food it changes constantly. Right now I like Mamma Mia and Prayers for Bobby, but one of my all time favorites is Dirty Dancing. I guess you could say that I in general like romantic comedies but I can watch pretty much anything except horror movies, those I don’t really like.
Oh, I just remembered another thing too. After seeing Sam complain about the snow both in this blog and on twitter and the news calling it a snow chaos in England just because it snowed like 4-10 inches. I thought I would tell you about a real snow chaos that we had in my city about ten years ago. It snowed like 150 cm or about 60 inches in two days with snow barriers as high as 3-5 meters. Both houses and cars were buried in the snow. We were totally snowed in, no one could come in or out of the city for about a week and if someone got sick they had to come and get them with military vehicles because that was the only way to get somewhere. So here in Sweden we don’t get time of from school or work for a couple of inches of snow :P
Instead of a sock today since I don’t wore any I’ll give you a video clip of the aftermath of the snowstorm.
Oh, and my question this week is “What is your favorite fruit?” (How’s that for random)

What a weird week..
In terms of blogs, I thin this week was certainly very.. interesting! On monday the delightful Emma wrote us an article as we were finding it difficult to find replacements that soon, on Tuesday the lovley Chris filled in for.. actually thats his day, anyway on wednesday the beloved Emma.. have I already said that? No, I was right, Emma wrote again and then on Thursday Chris wrote.. My brain hurts.. Anyhow, apart from the general deja-vous this week has brought some FANTASTIC news- BECCA IS BACK!!!! I don't know how you would do a blog party, but let's do whatever that is *PARTY!!
Talking of deja-vous, I don't think that whole paragraph was needed at all, as of course you do know what has been going on. But that is because I don't really have much to talk about. Scince the last time I posted, it has been snowing visously, snow is such a pretty thing and yet so hateable, It has almost killed off England. Millions of people have died in the last ten minutes and because people can't get to work the economy has actually become a black hole, but thats not a bad thing because it has destroyed half of switserland and scientists have found their particle (the higs bozon or something)... Ok, that hasn't really happened either, I just need something to write about. I blame it on the news, nothing interesting is happening. But my week has actually been very cold and there has been about 4 inches of snow where I am, and I have only had one day at school as a result of this, therefore my days have been just sleeping and watching tv, so I have nothing to talk about. However there is some news, not on this Sunday, but the one after it is my birthday! yay! Then the next day after that I am going to GERMANY! So I am now touching up on my nearly fluent german.. Ok, intermediate german.. Ok, so maybe Ok-ish german.. No, actually begginers german.. Ok, so I don't know any german, Oh well. Sorry about the randomness and hyperness and craziness of the article so far, I am in a rather random, hyper, crazy mood. Ok, to prevent further randomness, hyperness or craziness I will get on with the questions:
I asked about God.. When everyone says that they'd rather be carfull what they say, as it is a delicate subject, with most of you knowing I am a non-beleiver perhaps you misunderstood, I just wanted to know do you beleive in a God, if so why? When I asked that, I had to quickly make a question up, I didn't want contrevesy or anyone to be offended so if anyone was, then I think you misunderstood. But to answer that- I don't beleive in God, like chris I prefer to lean more towards science and facts, I also like philosphy. But I respect all religions, it's just I don't beleive, thats all. I don't want to offend or discriminate against anyone.
Emma! how would a perfect first date be? hmm. I think doing something where you can talk and get to know each other is good, and as we all know a nice romantic restaurant is perfect for that. Then I think that doinkg something daring and exiting would be fun and for those of you who are taking my words in completley the wrong way, I don't mean that! Not on the first date! For the inocent ones of you asking what do I mean.. nothing, nothing, I have no idea what you're on about. I then think sitting in front of the tv and watching some tv would be a good way of getting to know each other and what the other person's views are.
Chris, My favroute kind of foods are: Italian, including pizza and pasta mainly! Also german: sausage and bread, YUMMY! however, crocodile and kangaroo aren't exacley favroutes, Chinese: I love most chinese food, although I'm not a fan of dog, Indian: apart from the really spicy foods. English/american: including Mcondonalds, and fish and chip shop food. So my favourite foods are generally very unhealthy, but I don;t just eat them, it's just they're so delicous, so edible... I can't really pick just one can I? Oh crap.. I have drooled onto my keboard. tut tut Sam, tut tut.
Emma, again! And to think I was confused answering last weeks questions! urm, favroute movie? That is a very difficult question, I am not a 'film' person if you get what I mean. I know people who's lives revolve around films, but I'm not such a huge fan. But, I love and appreciate a good film non-the less. At the moment 'Yes man' is one of my favroute. I also like taken, grave of the fireflies, School of rock, Titanic, Iron man, Batman (the dark m=knight OBVIOUSLY!!) and.. Oh yes, there's something about mary. Those are my favroutes, but I do like many more films..
Chris.. bed sheets? that, if you don't mind me saying, is a very unusual question, you must have been struggling to think of one. I don't really think this is a colour, but I'll descrobe it to you: It looks like someone got some stripy blue toilet roll, dipped it in the tiolet and spilled coffee down it. It is beyond me to describe colours in any less vulgur way, without just saying: its dark white.
my question: urm.. I can't think of one, but I want to do a challenge to everyone: I want you all to try and put as many song names in your blog as possible! Sorry, it's difficult and I know I will be crap at it, but I would like to see you all trying! Oh and Becca! yay! Looking forward to your blog and I hope you feel happier and refreshed! BYE EVERYBODY!! XD

Super busy!
Since I posted a blog on Monday there's not to much for me to write here now.
I've been hanging out with some friends and I've also been to the mall with my mum so I could get the stuff I need for the party I'm going to on saturday (my friends boyfriend turns 25).
What I really would have needed to do though is my schoolwork. Tomorrow we'll be discussing the answers to some assignments and I haven't started with them yet. So that's what I'll be doing after finishing this blog. I'm guessing I won't get to many hours of sleep tonight, but I only have myself to blame.
Seeing how I don't have to much more to tell you right now I guess I'll move on to the questions. Even though there's not to many of them either.
First we have my question from this monday about the first date. I think I would avoid going to a movie because I would like to be able to talk and get to know the person I'm out with. So either a dinner och maybe just meeting up at a café. Just something low key to get to know eachother.
And yesterday Chris wanted to know what our favorit food was. I think it's funny he asked that since I told you guys in my introduction blog that I'm an increadibly vacillating person and therfore couldn't give a conclusive answer to questions about for example favorit food. But since you asked I guess I could say that right now I like Pasta Alfredo a lot.
What should I ask you guys then? Hmmm... I got it, What is your favorit movie and why?
I don't have any socks on right now cause it's late and I'm in my PJ so I'll give you the picture from last week because that's how I look now too :P

Sleepless in Calgary!

Well I apparently failed at time management over the weekend. I went into the weekend full well knowing that I had a lot of school work to catch up on, as well as my usual weekly lab report and physics assignment. I was also looking forward to the fact that I only had to work on Friday and would have the rest of the weekend to work on homework. But as you can likely guess that didn't quite pan out like I had hoped. I essentially slept till noon on Saturday and then spent the afternoon out running errands, the rest of the evening consisted of me watching 6 episodes of Ugly Betty. As much as I thoroughly enjoyed it, it really didn't help my goal of catching up on schoolwork. Sunday afternoon consisted of cleaning the house and rearranging my living room. So I didn't really get anything started until about 17:00 and spent the next 12 hours following that working on all my homework and ended up only getting about two hours of sleep. Needless to say I got very little sleep and had a long day at school and then work.

A lot of changes
Usually I’m not the one posting on Mondays but as you all probably know Becca has decided to leave the blog due to personal reasons but she has also said that she might rejoin in the future. Therefore I’m going to give you today’s post so you’ll have something to read.
We are currently looking for a new Monday and Thursday so if you’re interested or know someone that is interested you can contact us via twitter, just @reply to idontwearsocks.
Since Wednesday when I last posted I haven’t done too much. I’ve mostly been relaxing and done some schoolwork and last night I was on stickam for several hours with my fellow bloggers among others.
That resulted in me staying up till 5AM and then I got up at nine because I was going to the gym with a friend. I also bought a valentine’s card that I’m going to send out tomorrow :)
Let’s move on to the questions even though there aren’t too many for me to answer.
I should probably start with my own question “If I got to meet anyone I wanted, dead or alive, who would it be and why?” I would like to meet Astrid Lindgren because she was an amazing author and who doesn’t know Pippi Longstocking for example.
On Thursday Michiel wanted to know what the one thing we believe most in are. And that’s a really tough question but if I had to say something it would probably be that I believe that everyone has a purpose and that there’s something good in everyone.
Sam wanted to know what our views on God are and I don’t have a good answer to that and I usually stay out of discussions about religion because I know that’s a sensitive subject to a lot of people.
So my question for the day is “How would a perfect first date be?”
Come back tomorrow for Chris’s blog and I’ll be back on Wednesday.

Its a sad day today.
As much as you guys probably dont want to hear this, with Michiel leaving and everything.
I have to leave the project. Due to some extenuating circumstances, some of which may be known to you and some of which are not, i am not mentally able to post a blog on mondays.
That said, I would love to fill in sometimes, not on mondays... mondays are my busy days.
And when I am emotionally stable enough to have things to write about besides my own personal feelings, I would really enjoy coming back.
I'm sorry, but I feel that I dont need to pour all of this onto you guys, and that I need to take some time for myself to take care of my mental health and my physical well-being as well.
I love you all very very much.
<3 Becca.

Second Blog on the go! (at school actually)
This week is a very tradgic week for us all, as Michiel revealed yesterday, he is leaving idontwearsockstwice. The last I heard was on twitter when he said 'If you guys ever need a fill-in I can always post but on a regular basis, normally not. If things settle down that is.' So that will be that.. as far as I'm aware we have yet to discuss who will be doing Thursday. So I speak on behalf of all of us, it has been our priveledge to work beside you. So whoever the new Thursday is Welcome!
Ok, so onto things, I am in my music lesson. I should really be doing some work, but I can't be bothered to be honest. Also today I wagged assembly, because it is Paul and went out to see if we had the names for the prises we needed to give out and then after that we couldn't be bothered to go back into assembly. My week has been tiring, I really didn't want to come into school today.. I have a really saw throat and a cough.
I will be contacting Emma, Chris and Becca, as there are a few things we need to discuss. Ok, firstly, our new Thursday. And secondly, Did anyone ever make a twitter account? If we don't then I'll make one so that our readers can follow us there, where we can put links to our new blogs and any other updates. Hopefully, that will make our blogs more accesibe.
Ok, questions!
And first of all I find myself answering my own question? why is the world so weird! My question was 'what is my greatest acheivment?'. Well, I suppose this blog! I actually cannot think! I need to do something I can feel proud of..
Then Michiel (and by the way I was not 'pleasurecruising' on Friday! That is ridiculous.. It was actually on Wednesday. ha ha!) asked us do we want kids? I think so, but not any time in the future, and not even in the next decade. Although I think Mika would be a good name. There was a little boy I once met called that. But, he didn't speak a word of English! Anyhow, I haven't thought much into that.
IM CONFUSED!! Sorry people, I don;t even know If I'm answering the right flipping questions!
Ah, yes. Chris asked what my favouroute or worste year is.. Well I haven't finished school yet, so I'll answer that in a couple of years. Although last year was pretty crappy. And The year before the before that, was quite good!
Emma- Who would I want to meet, dead or alive? I met Paul Gilbert, and he is kinda my hero. But, does meeting them dead mean, meeting there corpse?
Michiel- one thing I beleive in most? I beleive in The theory of realitivity. I also beleive that England has a crap priminister.
Sorry that it is so crap today, but I am tired, at school, in a hurry, and mourning the absence of Michiel! My question is going to be: urmmm.. What are your views on a God? Is there one? What is his role? Boring question I know. BYEE!!

The one you don't want to read
Hello y'all!
Let's jump right into answering questions, since there are only two for me this time ^^
Emma, if I could meet anyone dead or alive, I would want to meet God. Just to know if he exist, and to tell him how he screwed up. Well, how his creations screwed up that is. :)
And Chris, schoolstuff... I don't go to school anymore, and I pretty much closed that chapter of my life... I dunno. School was something that had to be done, I don't relate much to it, I just went there because I had to and lived my life outside of those walls. I guess kindergarden was the best, since I could carelessly color on the walls and stuff. Worst was prolly around the age of 15 when children become vicious and mean and skanky. Just to answer something :)
Okay, on to what I wanted to say...
When you guys asked me to join this project I was hesitant at first, though you guys persuaded me to do it I did say that I was willing to try with the option to drop out when I feel like I can't combine it with other stuff going on. Maybe it's just temporary but apart from my first blog here all the blogs have been last-minute rememberings that I still had to do this, and even though I love reading you guys' blogs -which i do daily, i had a sad when i didnt had anything to read on monday- it feels to much like an obligation to me to post every thursday. Life is hectic and I have a lot going on, things I do and do not share online, and I just want to let you guys know that this is supposed to be my last blog here. I just don't feel like I can combine it and I'm not motivated enough to keep on going with my current mindset. It's all in my head.
I did have a great time doing this, and I still love this idea and will keep checking here on a daily basis, but I won't blog here anymore. I'm sure you guys will find someone else to fill my spot, someone who will be dedicated more to this then I have been able to be.
I love you guys, and I hope you will continue this blog for a long time coming.
Don't be hesitant to contact me whenever, I'm still fully active on youtube and twitter and you won't see me disappearing there soon :)
Keep the faith, keep believing, and I will certainly keep reading!
Yours truely,
Michiel.
Btw, my question: What is the one thing you believe in most?

Just another lazy Wednesday
Since I’ve been walking around in my PJ’s all day doing absolutely nothing, I haven’t had any socks on.
So last week I was totally stressed out over the paper that I hadn’t started. Well, I got it done in time even though that meant staying up all night. I should have the result in two or three weeks so I’ll let you know then how it went. Now I’ve started for real with the first spring course so right now I’m reading about a lot of different laws and stuff that has to do with the Labour law area. So far it’s really interesting but it’s a lot of work understanding everything and learning how to find everything in the law book.
With the paper and all schoolwork I had last week, there wasn’t a lot of time over to do other things. I did however get the time to go to an aerobics class yesterday with a couple of friends, it was really fun. And I also got invited to my friend’s boyfriend’s birthday party the weekend after this.
Since I haven’t done anything else that would be interesting to mention here, I guess I’ll move on to answering the questions.
I should probably start by answering my own question. So, plastic surgery… if I knew for sure it wouldn’t hurt and it was for free. I might have something done to my nose that is a little big, and some minor firming up at the places that’s in need of it. But this is just out of pure vanity.
Last Thursday Sam wanted to know what our greatest achievement was. That’s a really difficult question because I think I’m a little too young to have a great achievement yet, but so far in my life I have to say that getting in to the college/university I wanted is the one.
On Friday Michiel asked if we wanted children and if we had a name picked up. I would love to have children… well, I would like one kid at least and preferably a girl. I would probably name her Tindra or Wilma. But that will probably change many times before it’s actually time to name a baby.
Yesterday Chris wanted to know which year had been the best and worst in school for us and why. The best year for me is actually a tie between my senior year in high school and my first year of university. Senior year because I looked forward to graduating and we had a lot of fun activities the last semester like cruises, bar rounds etc. University because I’ve made a lot of new friends and I have to spend a lot less time in school. The next 10 weeks I only have two classes a week.
The worst year have to be junior year in high school. We had a lot to do and I felt stressed all the time.
So my question to you guys this week is: If you got to meet anyone you wanted, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I’m gonna have to think about that till next week and let you know my answer then.

Calgary weather is sort of crazy...

In my reasonable number of travels, I don't think I've ever experienced weather quite like Calgary. I am not exaggerating when I say that yesterday it was -23C/-9F here yesterday morning and then by midnight it was already -5C/23F (thats right the temperature went up in the evening). Today I woke up to +2C/33F temperature and howling winds. I'm not sure if this phenomenon exists elsewhere in the world, but we get things called chinooks regularly in the winter. Essentially they are very warm winds. It makes planning things rather difficult at times. It also makes driving always an adventure since you never know what the weather will be like, especially when one day everything is melting and then next day its freezing out again.

In Memoriam
This post goes out to all the unneeded victims of the Dendermonde Baby-killings.
My answer is: "Yes, I would love to have children, preferably a son, and I would call him Dante"

A blog on the go!
So I wrote this on Tuesday night so you guys would have a blog today. I’m crazy busy in school right now and I have a paper that is due Thursday-night that I haven’t even started on yet and I’m feeling a little stressed out. Therefore I will spend all of the day today in the school library trying to write hopefully I’ll get some inspiration.
This last week has been filled with schoolwork and today I started my first spring course (Labour Law). It seems really interesting. I and some friends also got membership cards at one of the local gyms/fitness centers too, so now I’m working out with them like three times a week. I’m also planning to start swimming again because I have a card to the swimming center too that I haven’t used too frequently.
Well, on to the questions. *In a hurry*
I guess I should start by answering my own question of where I see myself in five years. Hopefully I’ve graduated college (it feels really though now) and also found myself a job that I like. I think I would like to move to another city or maybe even another country but I’m not sure yet. But if I were to move it would probably be to Stockholm or maybe USA or some lovely country in Europe, Any suggestions? Oh, and I wouldn’t mind having a boyfriend either. I say boyfriend because I don’t see myself married within five years.
On Thursday Michiel didn’t ask a question so there’s nothing for me to answer. I guess all I can say is that I hope nothing bad happens to you for at least the rest of the week :P
Friday was Sams day and he wanted to know “what was the one event that changed our life the most?”. This was a really hard question but I think the moment that has had the biggest impact on my life this far that I can think of right now is my parents’ divorce. Even though it’s almost thirteen years ago it can still get tough sometimes when it feels like you have to choose between the two of them. And the fact that they don’t get along to well doesn’t make it easier.
Moving on to Monday, Becca wanted to know what our favorite book was and why. I read a lot and I mean A LOT, so my favorite book changes all the time but right now it’s “Not without my daughter” that I just re-read. It’s just such a good book and every time I read it I feel for the main character and the movie is almost as good. So that’s a book I would recommend you all to read.
Tuesdays question from Chris was very topical, he wanted to know what we felt about Obama as president and how we thought he would do. I’ve actually wanted Obama to win since it was decided that he was the one running for the democrats. It was time for a change in the US and I think he can do a good job even though he will have a lot of hard work ahead of him due to the economy and the war among other things.
And my question for this week is: “If you were offered free plastic surgery that wouldn’t hurt what would you have done?”
I now proudly present this week’s sock!
I hope I didn't miss any question and I'll see you guys next week. Hopefully I wont be as busy as I am now.

Tuesday January 20, 2009 will forever be an ObamaNation!
In running with today's theme... (no I don't actually own a pair of these)
As we all know, today marked a very significant event in the history of world politics. Barack Hussein Obama, was inaugurated today as the 44th and first African-American president of the United States. I will spare further details, as I'm sure you've all heard it a million times on every major news network around the world. On that note, I find it particular impressive that so many non-americans tuned in to watch the inauguration ceremony, myself included. I, like many others, am very happy to see Bush leave. I also, however will refrain from blaming the worlds problems on him, since that has already been overdone, and as much as I dislike him, he didn't cause everything to go wrong, he just didn't help in the worlds problems. I confidently look forward to Obama's rein as president, especially since he's going into all of this at a very rough time. He will certainly be held in the spotlight if things get worse, which is unfortunate because he seems quite competent and may be criticized more then he should be.
The ceremony itself seemed to have gone decently enough and I'm glad Bush didn't make another speech. I particularly liked the short black guys speech (I can't recall his name), he had some good points, and just looked really cute. Obama's speech was good as well, most of which was nothing new, but enjoyable none the less. I wish him luck and am curious to see how things will unveil in these troubled times.
Now enough of my ranting, on to questions:
Tuesday, Planet: You would think that I would have at least thought about my own question in the week that it was posted, but of course I am thinking of this on the spot... My planet would be called "Καλή φορές", it means "good times" in Greek, and it would be cool because it would be a world without hate. That's not to say that it would be perpetually jolly and happy, I fully condone disagreements, but flat out hatred and the results of such are unnecessary.
Wednesday, 5 Years: Well hopefully I will be done school by then, and working as a teacher somewhere. I yearn to impart knowledge on young minds. Unless of course I continue on to graduate studies, which I am also very interested in. Also a settled down long term relationship would be nice too.
Friday, Event: This is a tough one, I would say coming out was definitely a significant event in my life, as was the year and a half following that. I learned a lot about myself and what I wanted to do in life. Much to my parents disappointment I dropped out of engineering and switched into physics. I can happily say that I'm very glad I made the choice I did. I'm much more passionate about this degree then I ever was in engineering and don't find myself second guessing the decision as I did with engineering.
Monday, Favorite Book: I'm not sure that I have a favorite book. I would say my favorite series to date would have to be Harry Potter (generic I know). Mainly because, I like that while reading it I can immerse myself in a world full of excitement and adventure that isn't so different then our own, aside from the obvious magic. That and I can read it again and again without it losing enjoyment.
My question, to wrap up today's theme, how do you feel about Obama as president? Do you think he will do a good job, or did you want someone else to win?

Happy MLK day!!
So clearly, I am the only one here that knows what the heck MLK day is. It is a day dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr. and everything he stood for. So that means, NO CLASSES TODAY!! Which also means, i cleaned my whole room :)
Lets get straight to bidness.
Last Tuesday, Chris asked us what our planet would be called. I think mine would be called "planet pink" and its cool thing would be that its completely pink. I mean.. really how cool would that be??!
Emma asked us where we saw ourselves in 5 years. I will hopefully be done with school, and settled in with a job. Hopefully have a good relationship to start settling down with. Who knows.
If i am not mistaken, Michiel did NOT ask a question. But thats okay, i wont punish him :)
And Sam asked us what one event changed our lives forever. That would be the day my Grandpa passed away, nothing has been the same since.
For my question, i am going to ask, What's your favorite book, and why?
SEE YA TOMORROWZ CHRIS!
