The second half of my reading week (time off from school) flew by just as quickly as the first. I managed to get caught up and get all of my homework done in a timely fashion which was a nice change from the usual chaotic last minute scrambling that I'm accostumed too. I went to a house party on Saturday night, and had slightly to much to drink LOL. Then Sunday I went to see the local Civic Symphony before watching the Oscars. I sadly don't know enough about pop culture to really make any significant remarks about the event. All I can say is that it was entertaining and Hugh Jackman did a fantastic job at hosting! I also need to see the majority of those movies still!
The next two weeks are going to be slightly crazy simply due to the amount of academic things I need to do. Here's a quick run down of the next week and a half:
Tonight - Study for my E&M midterm on Friday, start E&M assignment
Wednesday - Finish my prelab report and study more for my E&M
Thursday - Contintue studying for E&M, go see Hamlet at the University Theatre
Friday - Write my E&M Midterm, do as much as possible on my lab report
Saturday - attempt to finish my labreport, start my calculus assignment
Sunday - finish calculus assignment, study astrophysics, modern physics, and calculus
Monday - study study study, astrophysics, modern physics, and calculus, finish E&M assignment
Tuesday - study study study, astrophysics, modern physics, write calculus quiz, and write this blog of course :P
Wednesday - Write astrophysics and modern physics midterm, start prelab
Thursday - die a little inside and DO NOTHING!, and possibly do an astrophysics assignment if it's assigned
Basically I'm just not planning on sleeping or seeing the light of day, as well I'm going to need to stalk up on red bull LOL. I'm gonna have to start going to only essential classes for the next week just so I can finish everything in time. So with shortness of time in mind, on to questions....
Tuesday - marriage: Yes, I think I would like to get married. I still can't decide if I want a big fancy wedding or something small. I suppose it depends largely on who I'm marrying. I'm content with either, in fact I might almost rather the smaller wedding just so we can spend more time and money travelling somewhere on the honeymoon! Agewise, preferably before I'm 30, but I'm in no real rush.
Thursday - Picture: See below...
Friday - Annoyances: I don't know that there was ever one particular instance that stands out for being annoyed. I can recall a few individuals that greatly annoyed me at the time, but unless forced to, I don't associate with them anymore. So I suppose I'll just tell you what annoys me most, and that would be stupid people. Now, I'm not attacking anyones intellect as thats a whole different matter, but rather people just doing stupid things. Such as incompetent people that can't drive, and/or drive excessively below the speed limit for NO REASON!!!
The question to my answer was as Emma predicted an eagle! :D It's one of the polish national symbols!
I'm going to also guess that Becca is refering to some sort of a container, possibly a mailbox.
And now for the pictures... (sorry for the quality I couldn't be bothered to use my nice camera, webcam ftw)

What do you mean it's already Tuesday?!?!?

Time flys...
Well just like Emma mentioned, time seems to be flying by incredibly fast. I failed miserably at posting on Tuesday, so I'm going to cheat and back date this, also I have the advantage that we don't have a Wednesday at the moment, (we need to find someone soon!) I can't believe it's already Wednesday, mostly becuase I don't even have school this week, yet I've been busy everyday. I've either been working or doing school work, yesterday and today have been the only days that I haven't been doing homework, and I still have a mountain of stuff to do. I think tomorrow and Friday I will just be a hermit, (save for going to the gym,) and just study my ass off for everything!
So I just started reading a new book called "physics of the impossible" by Michiu Kaku (co-founder of string theory), so far it's really interesting, it basically explores our current knowledge of physics and anaylzes what he thinks is potentially possible in the next hundred-thousand years. For example, time travel, teleportation, force fields, phasers, etc. I also love that their is a Tardis on the cover (ps Sam you of all people better know what I mean by that.)
I also recieved Emma and Michael's Valentine's day cards! I haven't opened them yet, I hope to do that tomorrow in a video, I'm still waiting for Becca's card though.
On to questions:
Tuesday, Summer Plans: I honestly have no idea what I'm going to be doing over the summer, more specifically where I will be working. I really, really, really want to work at the university this summer and work in the research labs. I got an offer to work at the Astronomy observatory, but I'm not sure if I'll take it, becuase it means 2hrs of driving everyday and the pay is sucks, and wouldn't be enough to get me through the next year.
Thursday, Name: Alexander, I've always really liked that name, that or Peter, particularly the polish version of Peter, (Piotrik).
Friday, Answer:
-Sam I have no idea, my only guess, and a very random guess is, "what is" bound money, like stacks of bills?
-Emma, I'm gonna guess either what is yoga, or some sort of sport/going to the gym? or.... what is writing a blog?
-My answer: It's on everything polish, it's white, and it flys.
Monday, TV: Currently, it would probably have to be HUSTLE! That show is truely fantastic!
Tuesday, new question: Do you want to get married, and why or why not? Also, at roughly what age do you think/want to get married by?
Ps, I think until we find someone for Wednesdays (and even after that) we should collectively post something, or like rotate through everyone. I'm thinking posting our favorite pic, YouTube video, website, book, movie, etc on that day, and just like having a little blurb about it. Something quick and short. Thoughts?

Tuesday January 20, 2009 will forever be an ObamaNation!
In running with today's theme... (no I don't actually own a pair of these)
As we all know, today marked a very significant event in the history of world politics. Barack Hussein Obama, was inaugurated today as the 44th and first African-American president of the United States. I will spare further details, as I'm sure you've all heard it a million times on every major news network around the world. On that note, I find it particular impressive that so many non-americans tuned in to watch the inauguration ceremony, myself included. I, like many others, am very happy to see Bush leave. I also, however will refrain from blaming the worlds problems on him, since that has already been overdone, and as much as I dislike him, he didn't cause everything to go wrong, he just didn't help in the worlds problems. I confidently look forward to Obama's rein as president, especially since he's going into all of this at a very rough time. He will certainly be held in the spotlight if things get worse, which is unfortunate because he seems quite competent and may be criticized more then he should be.
The ceremony itself seemed to have gone decently enough and I'm glad Bush didn't make another speech. I particularly liked the short black guys speech (I can't recall his name), he had some good points, and just looked really cute. Obama's speech was good as well, most of which was nothing new, but enjoyable none the less. I wish him luck and am curious to see how things will unveil in these troubled times.
Now enough of my ranting, on to questions:
Tuesday, Planet: You would think that I would have at least thought about my own question in the week that it was posted, but of course I am thinking of this on the spot... My planet would be called "Καλή φορές", it means "good times" in Greek, and it would be cool because it would be a world without hate. That's not to say that it would be perpetually jolly and happy, I fully condone disagreements, but flat out hatred and the results of such are unnecessary.
Wednesday, 5 Years: Well hopefully I will be done school by then, and working as a teacher somewhere. I yearn to impart knowledge on young minds. Unless of course I continue on to graduate studies, which I am also very interested in. Also a settled down long term relationship would be nice too.
Friday, Event: This is a tough one, I would say coming out was definitely a significant event in my life, as was the year and a half following that. I learned a lot about myself and what I wanted to do in life. Much to my parents disappointment I dropped out of engineering and switched into physics. I can happily say that I'm very glad I made the choice I did. I'm much more passionate about this degree then I ever was in engineering and don't find myself second guessing the decision as I did with engineering.
Monday, Favorite Book: I'm not sure that I have a favorite book. I would say my favorite series to date would have to be Harry Potter (generic I know). Mainly because, I like that while reading it I can immerse myself in a world full of excitement and adventure that isn't so different then our own, aside from the obvious magic. That and I can read it again and again without it losing enjoyment.
My question, to wrap up today's theme, how do you feel about Obama as president? Do you think he will do a good job, or did you want someone else to win?
